Watersports staff scheduling
One roster for every discipline on the water
For Principals, Chief Instructors, centre managers and club officers at RYA training centres and clubs.
A watersports centre might run dinghy sailing, windsurfing, powerboating, paddleboarding and kayaking in the same week, each with its own licences and staffing rules. ActivityRoster puts them on one roster, so staff who teach several disciplines are scheduled once, and each session is checked against its own rules.

Different rules for different sessions
Each course type carries its own ratio, roles and safety-boat requirement. A windsurf taster, a powerboat course and a Youth Stage 1 group are each checked against what they need, and instructors are only offered for sessions their licences cover.
Multi-skilled staff, scheduled once
Your best people often teach more than one discipline. Because everything is on one roster, they can't be booked into two sessions at once, and you can see their whole week, not one programme's slice of it.
Groups, camps and tasters
School groups, summer camps, tasters and adult courses all fit: one-off sessions, multi-day courses and repeating patterns. Staff can be swapped for a single day of a longer course.
- Dinghy, keelboat, windsurf, powerboat, SUP and kayak
- Ratios and places per course type
- Each discipline's instructor ladder kept separate
- Boats and kit tracked by unit
- Instructor app for the whole team

A live platform that keeps getting better
ActivityRoster improves all the time, and centres decide what comes next. Ask for a feature from inside the platform, back other centres’ ideas with a vote, and watch the most-needed ones go from review to live. We build around what centres vote for.
Questions
- Is it only for RYA courses?
- RYA courses come set up, but you can add any session type you run, with your own ratios and roles.
- Can we track boats and boards?
- Yes. Equipment is tracked by unit, so two sessions can't take the same safety boat, and kit in maintenance is flagged.
- We run school groups. Does that work?
- Yes. Groups are courses with their own capacity and staffing, scheduled on the same roster.
