Dive centres (PADI)
What changes when you sign up as a PADI dive centre: ratings, courses, dive slots and pay per student.
Choose βPADI dive centreβ at sign-up and your centre starts with the PADI pack instead of the RYA one. Everything else on the platform is the same: the roster, availability, the staff app, payroll and the printable rota.
What the PADI pack sets up
- Ratings instead of RYA qualifications: Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Open Water Scuba Instructor, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, IDC Staff Instructor, Master Instructor and Course Director, plus the specialty instructor ratings. Tick what each person holds on their staff page.
- Roles: Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Divemaster, Boat Skipper, Dive Centre Staff and Volunteer. Rename or add to them in Settings β Places on courses.
- Courses: the core PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and Divemaster, plus the common specialties. Add your own in Course setup.
- Slots: Morning dive, Afternoon dive and Night dive, with the times you can change in Settings.
- Medical and expiring documents: keep diving medicals, EFR and insurance on each person's Documents card; the platform reminds you before they expire. Whether an out-of-date document blocks rostering is your choice in Settings.
Paying per student
Many dive centres pay instructors per certification candidate rather than by the hour. In Settings β Pay rates choose βper studentβ for a role, a person or a course: each rostered session then pays the rate times the students on that course (its places). Hourly, per session and per day still work alongside it.
Running both
A centre that runs sailing and diving adds the other pack's lists from the bottom of Course setup. The centre type at sign-up only chooses what you start with.
